The Public Works Department is the largest department within the City. It is comprised of Street Maintenance, Storm Water, Sewer Collection, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Parks, and Motor Pool. The Department responsibilities range from the service and maintenance of streets, rights-of-way and vehicles to the operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment, water distribution, sewer collection, storm drain systems and Park maintenance with City’s limits. The Public Works Department’s primary objective is to provide for the public’s safety, and to maintain and improve the City’s infrastructure in a cost effective manner while planning to meet future infrastructure needs.
